![]() This is best done in the direction of a closing enemy from just outside of max torp range, because you're depending on the enemy to close on your torps. Keep turning and fire the forward starboard torp rack. Keep turning and fire the rear starboard torp rack. Keep turning and fire the rear port torp rack as she comes to bear. Make a starboard turn, fire the forward port torp rack. If you want to use all 4 racks, it's not that difficult. You're supposed to use the Atago's torps in a different way than you'd use torps on ships with overlapping torp angles. ![]() They've been that way from the beginning. So I am out 10700 doubloons but I can guarantee you WOW is not getting any more of my money for Premium ships.ĭude, the Atago's torp angles are not supposed to overlap. I can't believe the Japanese would build a ship with such a physical limitation. As soon as you fire one pod you have to reset your ship to get the shooting graticule in the other sector. As you can see, each pod only traverses 1/2 of the total target area. I had to keep insisting until one of the representatives sent me these two pictures that fully explains the physical limitations of the Atago torpedoe shooting system. The first reply I got from Player support was some kind of balderdash about optimum shooting angles etc etc and I was complaining about nothing. Take a close look at the alignment limits for each rack. At first I thought it was a software bug. I discovered this much to my chagrin and wasted money after I made the purchase and played some games. It is physically impossible unless your target is dead center between the two torpedoe pods and even then it will be very tricky. ![]() Be advised not to purchase the Atago if you are a torpedoe fan and like to let off a simultaneous 2 pod broadside.
